There was no way we were going to miss the chance to get to Fremont Street while we were in Las Vegas. It was great to see all of the classic downtown casinos that have been in movies and on television. The entire pedestrian-friendly area isn't very long, only about 5 short blocks as compared to "the strip's" 4 miles, but there is lots to see. Apparently, it is the highest concentration of neon signs in the world. And the light shows on the canopy are lots of fun to watch. Next time we are in town, we will definitely return to Fremont Street and spend more time exploring "old school" Las Vegas.
